Amanda Gangell

General Manager

Amanda Gangell was raised in Gaylordsville, Connecticut, and moved to Vermont 10 years ago to attend college. She quickly fell in love with the small-town atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and endless opportunities for adventure, and is proud to call St. Johnsbury home. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, caring for her houseplants, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Winnie.

Amanda loves supporting local businesses and products, especially Pitchfork Pickle, Burke Mountain Maple’s Maple Cajun Rub, and, of course, Vermont maple syrup. She is excited to be part of a project that supports and empowers the local community and economy, and looks forward to helping make the Co-op a welcoming hub for connection and activity in St. Johnsbury.

Sarah Nicole

Operations Manager

Sarah joins the Caledonia Food Co-op as our Operations Manager. Originally from Florida and now living in Hardwick, Sarah enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, writing, gaming, and exploring off-grid living. She loves local favorites like Prophecy Chocolates and Big Picture Farm caramels and is passionate about supporting local producers and strengthening community connections.

Sarah has followed the Co-op’s journey since it was just an idea and is excited to help create a welcoming, community-focused grocery experience for everyone.

Brendan Mulligan

Grocery Manager

Barnet native Brendan Mulligan was raised in Vermont and loves spending time outdoors enjoying the beauty of the Green Mountain State. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, racing, soccer, and basketball. Some of his favorite local products come from Joe’s Brook Farm, along with the flavorful cuisine from Genuine Jamaica by Derek Samuels.

Brendan is excited to join the co-op team and showcase the many incredible local products the region has to offer while building strong relationships within the community, which he says means so much to him.

Garrett Dyson

Marketing Coordinator

Sutton resident Garrett Dyson joins the co-op team as the new Marketing Coordinator. Originally raised in Oklahoma, Garrett enjoys printmaking, soccer, and spending time working on his Jeep. When it comes to local products, he’s a big fan of anything and everything maple.

Garrett is excited to join the co-op team because it gives him the opportunity to connect more deeply with the community. He’s also looking forward to helping spread the word about all the ways the co-op supports local farmers and families.

Jeff Russell

Customer Service Manager

Jeff Russell is our Customer Service Manager and calls Wheelock, Vermont home. Raised in South Royalton, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and pets, and he’s always up for talking sports, especially if it’s about the Philadelphia Eagles or Alabama Crimson Tide. When he’s shopping at the co-op, you’ll often find him reaching for Supa Spice poke bowls or sushi rolls.

Jeff is excited to help lead our customer service team as we continue building a welcoming, community-focused culture and growing the Caledonia Food Co-op together.

Alex McGregor

Kitchen Manager

Alex McGregor serves as the Fresh Foods Manager at Caledonia Food Co-op and lives in West Danville. Raised in Piermont, New Hampshire, Alex enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and spending time on the water in small boats.
A fan of the region’s many small-batch coffee roasters, Alex is passionate about creating nutritious, flavorful prepared foods and helping make healthy meal options accessible to the community. He is excited to be part of a team that provides food that brings people together and enriches the lives of those in St. Johnsbury and beyond.
